Are you happy with your nose?

Non-surgical nose reshaping is the new alternative to nasal surgery (rhinoplasty). The procedure involves the injection of a hyaluronic acid filler into areas around the nose which work to change the overall shape or result in a straighter nose
Rhinoplasty is one of the most desired cosmetic procedures, but many patients are frightened by the potential complications and the risk of unfavourable cosmetic results.

Non surgical rhinoplasty is a safe, non-invasive alternative to traditional rhinoplasty when performed in the right hands

The procedure takes about twenty minutes and only the use of a local anaesthetic cream is required about 20 minutes before. It resolves the need for expensive surgery of which side effects include scar formation and loosening of cartilage in the nose. The procedure is fast and practically painless with no downtime and the dramatic result is seen immediately. The effect can last up to one year.

Why have a ‘nose job’?

As the nose is the central feature of the face, it has a significant effect on our facial aesthetics. The nasal contours and the nasal tip strongly define the character of the nose which is the reason why surgical reduction or alteration of the tip was very popular in the past. However, this is becoming less desirable due to the risks, complications and long recovery times that accompany surgical procedures.

The use of dermal fillers can change the appearance of your nose if you are unhappy about the shape, or have an unattractive bump, depression or asymmetry. Also ideal if you have had an accident which has caused a deformity or have had nasal surgery and are not quite happy with the results.

Indications for non surgical nose reshaping:

  • To correct Asymmetry
  • Smooth contours of the nose
  • To even out bumps and depressions
  • To raise the bridge of the nose
  • To raise the tip of the nose
  • Nasal tip projection (For the tip to appear more pointed)

The Nose Shaping Consultation

During the consultation at our Lymington clinic, your ideals and expectations will be discussed and your nasal profile will be examined and assessed in relation to your overall facial structure. Your nose should be proportionate to the facial width and height, chin and lip projection in relation to the nose is also taken into account.

During the procedure topical anaesthesia will be applied. The dermal filler which is also mixed with local anaesthetic is then injected into precise areas of the nose. The procedure is painless and takes around twenty minutes.

Following the procedure there may be minimal swelling or redness which subsides in a few days. . Most people can resume their daily activities and work immediately. A free follow up consultation will be arranged for two weeks later if required.

Complications are not very common but possible risks of the procedure can include minor swelling bruising and infection. You will be fully supported throughout and after the procedure at the clinic.
