Breast lifting with PDO threads

PDO thread lifts are the latest, revolutionary treatment for skin tightening and lifting, as well as V-shaping the face. However, at River Aesthetics, we can now use threads, to produce impressive breast lifts with our bespoke RiverLift Body treatment. Although not suitable for all, this treatment can offer a wonderful alternative to going under the knife. The RiverLift procedure is performed by Dr Charlotte and Dr Victoria, who are both highly experienced doctors. You will receive a thorough breast examination prior to any treatment and a detailed past medical history will be taken to make sure this treatment is right for you.

The threads are made of the same absorbable material used for surgical stitches – polydioxanone or PDO. PDO continuously stimulates collagen synthesis under skin, which means the results improve over time. When inserted, they act as a ‘scaffold’ for the skin that helps to hold it against the effects of gravity. The threads are reabsorbed in 4 to 6 months, leaving only the new skin structure, which holds for another 18 to 24 months.

It is important that we can manage your expectations of the treatment to make sure that we are able to meet them. The procedure takes approximately one hour, depending on the number of threads used. On average, between about 40 and 50 threads are needed for the breasts. The first effects are visible instantly, but considerable improvement appears after 2 or 3 months, when induction of new collagen begins. The effect is long lasting – up to 2 years.
