FAQ
How Long Does it Last?
The threads remain under the skin for approximately six months, and are then naturally broken down by the body, producing collagen that will maintain the lift. If combined with muscle relaxing injections to stop the downward pull around the eye, we can expect the results to last 12-18 months.
Does it hurt?
It is a relatively pain-free, fast procedure carried out under local anaesthetic.
Is the RiverBROW Lift right for me?
What is the downtime?
Downtime is minimal, and some patients may experience small bruises around the entry site and mild swelling for a day or two. You can help to reduce the chances of bruising by avoiding alcohol, non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, Omega 3 and Vitamin E supplements 48 hours prior to your appointment. We also advise no impact exercise for 2 weeks post procedure.
Which thread do you use?
The type of thread we choose depends on the area of the brow that is being raised and the concerns you have. We use Silhouette Soft®, PDO and Aptos threads to achieve your brow lift.
What results can I expect?
You will notice an improvement to your brow immediately following your thread lift treatment, and the effects will increase over the days and weeks after. The body’s neocollagenesis process is stimulated about 10-14 days after the threads are inserted, leading to increased collagen production in your skin.
Can I combine the treatment with dermal fillers?
Combining dermal fillers with threads in the temple area creates beautiful results. Correcting volume loss in the temple area not only looks aesthetically pleasing but will also support the tail of the brow.
