I spent a wonderful morning at River Aesthetics recently.I love the location of the premises in Bournemouth, discreet, but easy to find and get to by car … More or on foot. Parking is easy, but plenty of coffee shops nearby if you've set up a lift to take you home.Not that I needed an escort home. I skipped out of Reception after my treatment into the bustle of Bournemouth, bright-eyed and rosy cheeked, knowing that I was going to feel even better in a few days and definitely looking fresher in a few months.I'd already met the delightful Dr Victoria Manning a couple of weeks previously, when we chatted about life in general during my consultation. She's very good company. She's empathic and I found it myself feeling very relaxed and happy to talk to her about many of the issues that I would normally only ever address to the reflection in my bathroom mirror.After the age of 65, there are many signs relating to our skin, face and body that are easier to ignore than address. Normally I'm grateful that my poor eyesight helps to block out the wrinkles, crevices and crepey skin that I used to notice only with my mother and her friends as they grew older.Victoria gave me hope that, maybe, there are ways to delay these signs of ageing. I'd always accepted that this type of improvement was for other people, in showbusiness, or footballers' wives or on tv. I still can't believe that I've hit the jackpot!I'm so grateful and feel so lucky. I've had Ellanse Dermal Fillers and can already see an amazing difference. My cheeky laughter lines have been smoothed and the hollows in my cheeks have been reduced.The team have told me that I will see more improvements in a few months as the collagen takes effect, but I'm already happy with what I can already see.
