River Aesthetics Academy delivers advanced thread lift and collagen stimulation training for doctors, dentists and nurse prescribers who currently practice facial aesthetics and are looking to expand their portfolio of treatments beyond toxins and dermal filler in order to build their aesthetic businesses and provide the best results for patients.
Taught by accredited industry leaders, Dr Victoria Manning and Dr Charlotte Woodward, River Aesthetics Academy prides itself on providing the highest standards of clinical, theory, practical training and expert support both during and after the courses.
Course delegates will learn about the benefits and uses of Silhouette Soft® and Ellansé, understand the importance of patient selection, watch physical examinations by the doctors, conduct treatments on models during the practical session, and will leave confident in all aspects of the procedure and related complication management.
With limited numbers of delegates per course, training with River Aesthetics Academy is designed in a way that guarantee students will leave skilled, knowledgeable and confident with all the treatments and techniques taught and be able to carry them out safely and effectively in clinical practice.

River Models
River Aesthetics Academy require models for our courses to be treated by our delegates for a whole range of aesthetic treatments.
All training is carried out under the supervision of highly experienced and qualified trainers led by Dr Manning and Dr Woodward, and only existing medical professionals such as doctors, dentists and nurses are permitted to take the course.
Models are required to pay towards their treatments; however, prices are heavily discounted. Please submit your details to us, and our Course Co-ordinator will be in touch to discuss your treatment options.
What makes River Aesthetics Academy unique?
With over 40 years combined experience, Charlotte Woodward and Dr Victoria Manning are highly regarded as the UK’s leading thread lifting and collagen stimulation doctors.
Our in-depth courses cover both theory and practice using the most up-to-date, safest and reproducible techniques in facial aesthetics.
A maximum number of 2-3 students are permitted per training session to ensure full undivided attention is given to each individual participant. Bespoke one-to-one training with mentorship is also available if required.

Hands on experience is an important element of each session whereby after delegates watch a full assessment, including treatment planning and a detailed demonstration, they then carry out a full guided procedure on a live model.
Preparing you for any possible eventuality, courses cover both the theoretical and practical management of a wide variety of complications seen through the use of facial threads, toxins, and dermal fillers.
Will models and products be provided?
We can always provide models, however as part of the learning process it is preferable to source your own models so that you are able to follow them up afterwards and manage any potential complications.
Will complications and management be covered thoroughly?
Complication management is integral to all aesthetic practice, knowing how to manage mild and adverse situations to. We will cover both common every day side effects in addition to management of the trickier complications. Knowing how to manage these events helps us grow as medical practitioners
Can you help with travel arrangements and accommodation?
We can recommend hotels and lovely eateries in the Bournemouth area to spend your down time after the course.
How much hands-on experience will I receive?
Following theory and demonstration of a full assessment, treatment planning and a practical demonstration; you will carry out the full treatments on two models, ideally picking patients who have different treatment requirements so as to develop and learn a wider range of skills and treating diverse indications
What level of support will I get after I have completed a course?
We understand the time following course completion is always the most worrisome, so we will be on hand to guide you through your early cases and mentor you whilst you gain confidence. Whether this is around case selection or managing complications we will be available for advice.
Where are your courses held?
All of our training courses are conducted in our beautiful new flagship clinic in Bournemouth.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, you may pay in installments as long as the fee is fully paid by the start of the course.

Dr Victoria Manning is a highly skilled and experienced medical aesthetics doctor with over 20 years of clinical expertise across both general practice and aesthetics. Passionate about helping her patients restore their inner confidence and giving them their sass back after life knocks them down, being part of their recovery journey is what drives her.
A global aesthetics industry trainer, speaker and key opinion leader for Sinclair Pharma’s Silhouette Soft® Thread Lifts & Ellansé, Dr Manning is also an expert trainer in PDO Threads and Vaginal Rejuvenation techniques. Selected by Sinclair Pharma to head up the latest Silhouette Soft® Pilot in the UK, Dr Manning and River Aesthetics will be the first in the UK to trial the newest, innovative suture from the Silhouette Soft® thread portfolio. She was also recently appointed to join the Specialist Advisory Board of CMAC (Complications in Medical Aesthetics Collaboration) giving guidance to clinicians on complication management and outcomes.
Enthusiastic about teaching other medical professionals, Dr Manning advocates the importance of knowledge transfer amongst aesthetic practitioners following the ethos of that we never stop learning no matter how long we have been doing something. With an increasing part of her work being the correction of poor work by unqualified individuals, she is dedicated to ensuring safety is regarded as paramount by the aesthetics industry and constantly strives to push for regulation from governing medical bodies.
Dr. Manning regularly writes articles and opinion pieces for the aesthetic medical press and is often featured as the top aesthetics expert in various lifestyle magazine brands. Most recently the doctors featured, not once but twice in this years Tatler Beauty and Cosmetic Surgery Guide 2023 and River Aesthetics was listed again as the Best Clinic in the UK for Threads.

Dr Charlotte Woodward is the co-founder and medical director of River Aesthetics. With more than 25 years clinical experience, she is an extremely skilled and accredited medical aesthetics doctor and general practitioner who has practiced exclusively in the aesthetics sector for over 17 years.
Dr Woodward discovered the world of aesthetics during her time as a GP and was instantly taken with the artistry involved, the ability to make people feel good and the privilege of witnessing overjoyed reactions of patients upon seeing their procedure results in the mirror. She favours the highly personalised approach and ensures every person she cares for receives only the best bespoke aesthetic treatments that are specifically tailored for their needs and life stage, a philosophy that runs deep in the River Aesthetics DNA.
Well-regarded for her innovative use of threads and fillers, Dr Woodward is always ahead of the curve with new products, procedures and pioneering techniques, and is often heavily involved in the developmental stages with international pharmaceutical companies. She was one of the first doctors in the UK to perform a Breast Thread Lift, setting the standards for industry best practice and leading the way for advances in the use of sutures in aesthetics.
Passionate about aesthetic medicine & safety, Dr Woodward is a prominent global advanced trainer for Sinclair Pharma’s Ellansé and Silhouette Soft® brands, as well as an ambassador for their newest product Maili, and a global trainer in PDO Threads and Vaginal Rejuvenation with Desirial®. She trains hundreds of medical professionals every year both in person at the River Aesthetics Academy, as well as at well-known external industry events and meetings.
